We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Accountant to join our finance team. The Accountant will be responsible for managing accounts receivable and payable, performing data entry, and maintaining accurate financial records using accounting software such as Tally or SAP. The ideal candidate should have basic accounting knowledge and previous experience with accounting software.
Key Responsibilities:
Accounts Receivable and Payable Management:
Manage and process accounts receivable and payable transactions.
Ensure timely and accurate billing and collection of receivables.
Process vendor invoices and ensure timely payments.
Data Entry and Record Keeping:
Perform accurate data entry of financial transactions into the accounting system.
Maintain up-to-date and accurate financial records.
Reconcile accounts and resolve discrepancies.
Financial Reporting:
Assist in the preparation of financial statements and reports.
Generate and review financial reports for accuracy and completeness.
General Accounting Duties:
Record journal entries and maintain the general ledger.
Assist with month-end and year-end closing processes.
Support the preparation of budgets and forecasts.
Compliance and Auditing:
Ensure compliance with company policies and accounting standards.
Assist with internal and external audits as required.
Use of Accounting Software:
Utilize accounting software such as Tally or SAP for financial management.
Ensure data integrity and security within the accounting system.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field or has had previous experience with accounting software such as Tally or SAP
Basic knowledge of accounting principles and practices.
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other MS Office applications.
Attention to detail and accuracy in financial reporting.
Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Skills and Competencies:
Understanding of accounts receivable and payable processes.
Proficiency in data entry and record-keeping.
Familiarity with financial reporting and reconciliation.
Knowledge of compliance and auditing procedures.
