PET Chips

PET Chips, also known as Polyester Chips or Polyethylene Terephthalate Chips, serve as the foundation for plastics and polymers. These chips are produced by grinding polyester obtained from a polycondensation reaction of pure terephthalic acid and mono-ethylene glycol. PET chips are used in various industries, including textiles, bottles, and films. Bottle grade PET chips are used in the production of beverage bottles, while film grade PET chips are used in the manufacturing of films for packaging applications.

Application

Water bottles: The majority of single-use plastic water bottles are made from PET, making it one of the most common applications for bottle grade polyester chips.
Carbonated drink bottles: PET bottles are also used to package carbonated soft drinks due to their strength and ability to withstand the pressure of carbonation.
Food packaging: PET bottles are widely used for packaging food items such as salad dressings, ketchup, and other sauces.
Personal care products: PET bottles are also used to package personal care items such as shampoos, conditioners, and lotions.
Pharmaceutical packaging: PET bottles are used to package pharmaceutical products such as cough syrups, vitamins, and other medicines.
Household cleaners: PET bottles are used to package household cleaning products such as bleach, detergents, and other chemicals.

Home Textiles: These chips are used in the production of various home textiles such as bed sheets, curtains, pillow covers, towels, etc.
Industrial Textiles: Textile grade polyester chips are used in the production of various industrial textiles such as seat belts, conveyor belts, geotextiles, etc.
Carpeting: These chips are also used in the production of carpets and rugs.
Upholstery: Textile grade polyester chips are used in the production of upholstery fabrics for furniture and automobiles.
Sewing Thread: These chips are also used in the production of sewing thread for various applications.
